ECHIC Conference

The Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh (IASH) will be hosting the annual ECHIC (European Consortium of Humanities Institutes and Centres) conference from 5-7 April.  The theme of the conference is inside/OUT.

CIAS meeting

The next meeting of CIAS will take place at Senate House on Thursday 17 November at 4.30 (in room G21a at Senate House) and will be followed by the launch event for Being Human 2016 – Hope and Fear at 6.30.    Steven Hill, Head of Research Policy at HEFCE will speak to members on the topic of inter-disciplinarity and the REF at the autumn meeting.

Being Human Launch

The Being Human launch event will include a reception and a preview of festival activities taking place across the country, with talks and performances that capture the sights and sounds of our fantastic ‘Hope & Fear’ themed programme to which everyone is welcome.
